CH EU Parliament
Cluster Headache Day Event: “Progressing to a pain-free future for Cluster Headache”
Venue: European Parliament – Room: Paul-Henri Spaak P1C051
This year, the Eu Parliament Vice President MEP Mr. Papadimoulis will host an open event for MEPs, Industry and Patients Organizations in which all the Patients Delegates from the European Organizations, together with important Neurologists on the field such as Prof Dimos Mitsikostas and Prof Messoud Ashina (Former President of the International Headache Society) will participate.
We hope to gather a number of MEPs who could join the EMHA advocacy work on C.H. also.
Among our aims during the day, the following could be highlighted:
– To promote action to shape a painless future for CH patients.
– To show the good that has already been done or is on-going (including research on CGRP)
– To inform the policy-makers about the special needs of CH patients to find shared solutions
– To create the bases for a network of people accepting to work for improving CH patients’ life by acknowledging a patient-centered approach with EMHA as the main promoter.
The EMHA Cluster Headache Interest Group is convinced that most of the barriers preventing access to appropriate care for CH sufferers may be avoided with a little organizational and cultural effort.
With the hashtag #chpainfreefuture , the EMHA will work on raising awareness and information among the Social Media to inform the General Society about this reality and to support the affected ones.
