AGENDA

22 july

World Brain Day

On this World Brain Day, EMHA – European Migraine and Headache Alliance proudly join the global campaign led by the World Federation of Neurology to support this year’s theme: Brain Health: Access for All.

We stand behind one simple message:
There is no Brain Health for All if migraine is left behind.

Migraine is a neurological disease and one of the leading causes of disability worldwide. Yet, millions of people still face barriers to diagnosis, specialist care and effective treatment.
Access to brain healthcare should not depend on:
– Where you live.
– Your gender.
– Finding the “right” doctor.
– Whether your disease is visible.
– How long you can wait for care.

True access means more than healthcare availability. It means timely diagnosis, equitable treatment, recognition, specialist care and policies that leave no one behind.

As governments and health systems work towards better brain health, migraine must be recognised as a priority within national and international brain health strategies.

Because Brain Health: Access for All must include migraine.
