You can find below some images of what we lived last week, already looking forward to the next MTIS!
EMHA Executive Director Elena Ruiz de la Torre along with Professor Peter Goadsby was in charge of giving the first speech at the opening ceremony of MTIS 2018. We couldn´t be more proud and honored of being able to represent the patient community in such an important event! Over 800 assistants have visited the Congress so far!! We keep searching for ways to give a voice to patients, raise awareness and educate everyone about this condition, which so many people suffer from and sadly the number keeps increasing day by day.
This year Migraine Day of Action will be held on September 12th and EMHA has created an initiative called #MigraineBrighterFuture ¿What is #MigraineBrighterFuture? It´s an online campaign which involves patients all around the globe and everybody who would like to help on raising awareness about Migraine. ¿How to participate? September 12th participants will need to upload a photo on social media with a caption including the hashtag #MigraineBrighterFuture and a sentence which starts with the followings words: "For the chance to...". This sentence needs to be some kind of action that sounds completely normal and easy to accomplish for anyone who reads it but a complete challenge for someone suffering from migraine. An example of this will be “For The Chance To get back to work”. Everyone goes to work every day but someone who suffers from migraine can have a crisis during their work but no one in the workspace will notice or really understand that is not a simple headache. We would love everyone to participate in this project so save the date and help us spread the word!
This upcoming September, EMHA team will be visiting the British capital city of London in order to participate in the MTIS congress organized by Migraine Trust. EMHA will be participating in the activities held during the Congress such as communications meetings, active participation on roundtables and of course an EMHA booth by Board members and Staff will be found at MTIS Exhibition Hall! We are very excited about the event and looking forward to being in London already.
